Halloween Sleepover Party Ideas
for the Cutest Boo-Jama Night
Looking for Halloween sleepover party ideas that feel cute instead of creepy? This pastel Boo-Jama sleepover is basically a tween girl’s dream night. There are Halloween parties… and then there are Halloween parties that make the girls walk in and completely lose it. For this one, I wanted all the fun of Halloween without making it dark or scary. We mixed blush pink, lavender, mint and peach with pops of black, then layered in friendly ghosts, bats, pumpkins, cozy textures and twinkle lights. The result feels festive enough for Halloween, but still pretty, playful and completely sleepover-worthy.
THE MAIN EVENT Create the Coziest Little Boo-Jama SleepoverYou really don’t need a complicated activity schedule for this party—the sleepover setup is the experience. Line up small tents or teepees and give each girl her own cozy little spot with fluffy blankets, Halloween pillows and a tray for snacks or drinks. Add warm fairy lights around the tents and suddenly the room feels completely magical after dark. PJs + pumpkins + besties = basically the perfect Halloween night. | |
THE PHOTO MOMENT Make It Feel Like a PartyThe tents make it a sleepover. The backdrop makes it a party. A pastel balloon garland instantly fills the room and gives the girls a spot for photos before everyone changes into pajamas. We mixed pink, lavender, mint, peach and black with playful ghosts, bats and one oversized black starburst for a little extra drama. Because this is a tween party—not a haunted house—the whole setup still feels bright, pretty and fun. | ![]() |
Little Details That Make It Feel Extra Special
Ghost PillowsPile the beds with fluffy ghost pillows, cozy blankets and a few cheeky Halloween sayings. The best part is that these details aren’t just decorative—the girls can actually use everything once it’s time to settle in for the night. | Bedside Treat TraysGive each girl her own little tray with a cute cup, snack and mini pumpkin. It’s such a small detail, but it instantly makes every guest feel like she has her own special little sleepover setup. | Twinkle Lights EverywhereThe room looks adorable during the day, but once the main lights go down and the tents start glowing, that’s when the sleepover really feels magical. |
And Yes...Matching Boo-JamasIf there was ever a party made for matching pajamas, this is it. Have everyone arrive in Halloween PJs, give pajamas as the party favor, or simply choose a color palette and let the girls wear whatever they already own. Pink ghosts, little bows, bats, pumpkins and black-and-white prints all fit this theme perfectly. |
